Tequila Tasting

tequila shot

The traditional way to drink tequila has always been with the "caballito" a typical shot glass that is tall and slim. Often people accompany the tequila caballito with a slice of lemon and some salt. It is advisable to drink it slowly in sips and then test the slice of lemon with salt.

The añejo tequilas do not need lemon and salt, because the tequila is extremely fine and complex that it would mess up the initial and after taste, hence is best drink alone.
